About The JLKM Party

Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLKM/JBKSS) is a state-level political party committed to making
a powerful, strong, and prosperous state on the Indian stage.

On 23 December 2021, the Jharkhand government released a list of district bar appointments, which included a list of regional languages, including tribal languages, for matriculation and intermediate level competitive examinations. Bhojpuri, Magahi, and Angika were included along with the tribal languages of Jharkhand in Dhanbad and Bokaro. This news spread quickly and angered many youths preparing for competitive examinations. As a result, on 25 December 2021, the first anger rally of the youth took place from ITI Mor of Bokaro to Naya Mor, where the effigy of the government was burnt.

The second Aakrosh Rally occurred on 2 January 2022. Following this, a meeting of about 45 youths from Dhanbad and Bokaro was held at Vinod Bihari Mahto Stadium Ramdih Chas, where it was decided to intensify the movement against the government under the slogan 'Bahari Bhasha Nahi Chala'. Consequently, an organization of youth and students was unanimously formed, named Jharkhandi Bhasha Sangharsh Samiti. All the youth took charge of their respective areas, conducting mass processions and effigy burnings at various locations.

On 10 January 2022, a mass procession and effigy burning took place at Randhir Verma Chowk Dhanbad. During the effigy burning, the voice of a youth named Tiger Jairam Kumar Mahato became viral on social media. Following this, another meeting was held between Damodar Bridge Dhanbad and Bokaro, where it was decided to form a human chain as a show of strength in protest against the government. The date of 30 January 2022 was fixed for the human chain. Small street meetings were held daily, and posts were made on social media, with live broadcasts publicizing the meetings. Gradually, Tiger Jairam Mahato gained immense popularity.

After the successful organization of the human chain, the administration and government made significant efforts to curb Tiger Jairam's activities. This only deepened the emotional connection the people of Jharkhand had with him. The movement continued, and as a result, on 18 February 2022, the government was forced to withdraw all three languages from Dhanbad and Bokaro. A wave of happiness swept through the people, and all activities were paused for a few days for discussion.

Despite this victory, many issues related to water, forest, land, education, and employment in Jharkhand remained unresolved. The initial spark ignited by language issues gradually shifted focus to the 1932 Khatian, which aimed to identify who qualifies as a Jharkhandi in Jharkhand. A meeting held at Damodar Bridge led to the organization of "Run for Khatian," which was planned from Naya Mor Bokaro to Randhir Verma Chowk Dhanbad. Following this, a decision was made to surround the assembly for the 1932 Khatian, with the date set for 21 March 2022. However, there was no consensus within the Jharkhandi Bhasha Sangharsh Samiti, leading to the emergence of a new organization called the Jharkhandi Bhasha Khatian Sangharsh Samiti.

"Run for Khatian" was organized on 20 March 2022 by the Jharkhandi Bhasha Sangharsh Samiti, while the Assembly Gherao occurred on 21 March 2022 by the Jharkhandi Bhasha Khatian Sangharsh Samiti. The differences between the two organizations continued to grow, and the popularity of Tiger Jairam Kumar Mahato soared. The movement gained momentum at various locations, and Tiger Jairam Mahato began to be invited as a keynote speaker in the Lok Sabha. Consequently, he started to expand his organization independently.

With immense public support and growing dissatisfaction with government policies against the interests of Jharkhand, it was decided that the youth needed to take political reins. As a result, the first general convention of the Bhasha Khatiyaani Sangharsh Samiti was held in Jharkhand on 18 June 2023 at Vinod Dham Baliapur Dhanbad, where Tiger Jairam Kumar Mahato was unanimously made the central president of the Jharkhandi Bhasha Khatian Sangharsh Samiti.
